Who We Are
After working in flower shops sweeping floors and running deliveries, Paul Peters had the unique opportunity to purchase Westgate Flowers in 1989 from its previous owner. His passion for flowers, plants, and customer service made him the perfect man to run a decades-old business, which was already a staple in the Oak Park community.
Paul called up his high school buddy Adam, who had the business acumen to run the shop, and convinced him to quit his job and instead make flowers his life’s work. More than 35 years after Adam and Paul’s purchase, and after nearly 100 years of existence, Westgate Flowers continues to be an integral and iconic business in the Chicago area, trusted by thousands of customers with their every day flowers, funeral arrangements, wedding decor, and more.
In 2023, we lost Paul to a courageous battle with brain cancer. But, Adam and his team of highly talented floral designers continue to maintain his legacy, bringing flowers and more importantly, joy, to every client who trusts us.
